When Will This Madness Stop?
The loonies continue pushing their extreme agenda, because we actually pay attention to them, rather than acknowledging them for who they truly are, a group of intolerant ignorant people pushing their 7th century religious and political ideology, while threatening violence if we don’t comply.
To highlight how far we've regressed back to the dark ages is to simply reference Oxford Universities ridiculous however extremely dangerous capitulation of actually banning the words “pig” and “pork” because they offend Muslims.
Obviously if one were to take this insanity to its logical conclusion perhaps those esteemed scholars can come up with another name to identify a pig, how about a hog, or perhaps a boar, or maybe a swine, perhaps we could reference the word “pork” as “hog meat.”
TV host Jim Naughtie, whose wife Eleanor Updale is working with Oxford on an educational book series. ‘Among the things prohibited in the text that was commissioned by OUP was the following: Pigs plus sausages, or anything else which could be perceived as pork.’
Oxford Press, however, defended their politically correct move in a statement:
‘Many of the educational materials we publish in the UK are sold in more than 150 countries, and as such they need to consider a range of cultural differences and sensitivities. Our editorial guidelines are intended to help ensure that the resources that we produce can be disseminated to the widest possible audience.’
