The Islamic State is infamous for its horrifying execution videos, which exhibit record-breaking levels of violence and cruelty, but a new video published by the terror organization provides a glimpse into another appalling aspect of ISIS’s activity: the initiation ceremonies and training of new members – children aged 3 to 15.
In the video, which was apparently filmed in the Syrian city of Halab, toddlers are seen wearing ISIS uniforms and training in martial arts. Meanwhile, the slightly older children are seen taking part in weapons’ training and crawling under barbed wire.

The children in the video, many of which are Asian, are also seen studying Arabic and taking Quran lessons. The estimation is that the video is meant to serve as part of the organization’s psychological warfare, in an attempt to provoke shock and outrage in the west, where such acts are in head-on collision with the accepted norms.
