We are entering an age that not one of us Americans would ever have imagined. For those of us over 35, and plenty of younger folks to be sure, we grew up with a notion of “God, Country, Family.”
We said the Pledge of Allegiance in school. In fact we jumped out of our second and third-grader our seats, waving our hands with the desperation of “pick-me, pick-me!” We had American pageants in school and dressed up as characters of history.
We memorized the Bill of Rights, the Constitution and we had better know the pre-amble of the Declaration Independence, the Gettysburg Address, the Emancipation Proclamation, Martin Luther’s Kings “I Have a Dream,” and the list goes on.
Today, our children are taught same-sex and selective-sex ed, handed birth control, bussed for abortions, and learn nearly none of those things listed above.
As a result, our youth are another brick in the wall, to quote that famous Pink Floyd masterpiece. In allowing our nation to crumble, We the People have failed ourselves.
There is hope, however. While President Obama succeeds with one Executive Order after another, America simmers. With this latest, the gun grab, America is beginning to boil, and many our public spokesmen (sorry, not into the gender equality PC BS), are hitting a full rolling boil.
American hero, Army Lieutenant Colonel, Allen West, has had it. He is a voice of reason, and he is calling for civil unrest. He is NOT calling for violence.
What he is calling for, is for We the People to uphold our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It is our mandated duty, in fact, and if you do not know that go back and read what our Founders had to say in this regard.
West calls for the American citizen to hold true to the law and ignore the President’s Executive Order with respect to his on-going war on our rights. The newest EO being that of the incremental gun grab going on at present. After all, there are only so many of them, and helluva lot more of us.
So, as Allen West says, “Come and take them.” Even better, as Charlton Heston (actor and former president of the NRA) said, “From my cold, dead hands.”
