Terrorism and religion have become hot-button issues in recent years. There seems to be a particularly wide divide between the political parties in America with each side taking a different view of how to approach, respond to and prevent terrorist threats from extremists. Some of the most outspoken and controversial figures in this debate are on the far right of the spectrum. Conservative Fox News commentator Jeanine Pirro is one of those people who regularly makes bombastic speeches on her show each week.
Pirro recently decided to give a long monologue about some of the things happening after a police shooting in Philadelphia and the shooting in San Bernardino. She first attacked police officials and elected officials in Philadelphia for stressing that the actions of extremists who want to follow the Islamic State of Iran and Syria, or ISIS, do not represent the billions of peaceful Muslims around the world. She went on a tirade claiming all Muslims are the problem and not just extremists. Pirro then ended by saying President Obama and ISIS are the same. This is relatively typical of Pirro’s speeches since she believes in many debunked conspiracies such as Islamic law being enforced in the United States and President Obama being a secret Muslim.
There has been no reaction to Pirro’s Fox News show from the president or anyone in his administration. It does not even appear that President Obama knows Pirro has a show or listens to it. Pirro is a former prosecutor from New York who was forced to leave her position amid scandal. Her show airs at 9 p.m. on Saturday nights on Fox News.
