Why Socialism Is Inherently Stupid

It’s a very simple, yet elusive concept. Simple, because the principles of the argument are right there in the open for all to see. Elusive because the two Democratic Party candidates, who are openly pushing socialist ideas, in Hilary Clinton’s case, and full-blown Socialism in Bernie Sander’s case, have millions of supporters that can’t see it for what it is.

If you have a friend who is wanting to give Socialism a try, try to change their minds with these three easy to understand proofs.

1.) Socialism is the taking of people’s things by the government, who then decides how it is distributed. The government decides what is produced, and the government controls who gets what. If a Sander’s supporter tells you that they don’t want Socialism, they wan’t Democratic-Socialism, tell them that the destination is the same, they are just quibbling over what to call the vehicle.

2.) The United States Government is pretty corrupt. Most people would agree with that statement. Consider, just to name a few, the TSA spying on the people without warrants, the FBI being used against political enemies, Fast and Furious gun-running through the Department of Justice, and the countless times that the Executive Branch has not enforced the laws that they have sworn to protect. In addition to these fun facts, when you throw in the thousands of lobbyists who live in the nation’s capital, you can’t possibly have a government that puts the needs of the people above its own.

As long as we can agree that there is widespread corruption in the federal government, we can move on to point number three.

3.) The people who will be instituting Socialism are members of that same corrupt government. If you trust Hillary Clinton enough to hand over all of your wealth and your property, just so that she can dictate how you live your life, then by all means, vote for Hillary. If you trust the same woman who lied about a life experience to get elected, who tried to discredit and besmirch the reputations of her husband’s alleged sexual assault victims, and who destroyed thousands of Emails to prevent the American people from knowing what she was doing as Secretary of State, then pull the lever for her.

That’s what Socialism means for America. It gives the corrupt and dishonest absolute control over the lives of the people.
