The enemy within

I encourage you all to campaign vigorously and positively for you candidate in the primaries. But be sure you vetted your candidate thoroughly. Forget about the opponent’s negatives. Just push all the reasons why your candidate should get elected. Negative campaigning in primary elections must be avoided. After the primary election it is our duty to get behind the primary winner of our party. This is very important. Even if your candidate is not selected put all your effort into supporting the one who was elected. That candidate most assuredly is much closer to your beliefs than the opposing party’s candidate. We can’t all have everything our way 100%. Realizing this and being able to live with is the mature thing to do. Let’s not be little children, pick up our marbles and go home. The candidate of our party is the one to support. I urge all grass roots workers to do the responsible thing. That goes especially for the candidates who did not make the cut. Do not let your disappointment punish your party’s candidate by voting for some miner candidate who you know has no chance of being elected or not voting at all which is tantamount to voting for the opposition. If you analyze the situation critically and logically, you will realize that your party’s candidate is with you at least 80% of the way, much closer to your beliefs than the opposition’s candidate. Do not cut off your nose to spite your face. You will be hurting yourself. There may be exceptions, for instance if the Democrat is more of a conservative (Highly unlikely) than the Republican or the Republican candidate is a plant by the Dems. How could the latter happen you ask? Only by us not ferreting that candidate out in the primaries. The enemy within our Party has been us. We must not lose one other election due to childish emotions. There is too much at stake.

Obama is Lowering Our Standard of Living

The Obama administration’s goal has been and still is to plunge America to a standard of living on par with Third World nations. Prior to the spill in the Gulf it took two weeks to process applications to drill new wells. Since the spill 5 requests have been waiting for three to nine months. He is using any excuse to raise the price of oil so that fewer and fewer people can afford to drive their vehicles, strangle the air transportation industry, make it more and more expensive to transport goods across the country, endanger supplies and their transport to our troops, and generally weaken our national security.

At a time when the oil providing nations are in political turmoil and the world oil supplies are in danger, we should be drilling and exploiting our own energy sources. We need more sites pumping oil, more refineries, more nuclear plants, and reduced restrictions on producing reusable energy sources.

The solution is private enterprise not government mismanagement, waste, and corruption. The American entrepreneur and worker, if left alone with less government interference, can make this nation strong, powerful, and respected again. Now is the time for action. We need to make some changes in Congress and the Administration.

Can’t We All Just Get Along?

Hell no! Why should we even try? The Democrats keep talking about compromise as if compromise is always a good thing under any and all circumstances. Compromise in politics is like alcohol. A glass or two now and then is cool. Guzzling down cases of “two buck chuck” is disgusting. So a compromise would be only a half a case, that is enabling the drunk.

The road that the progressives in Congress , Obama, and his group of socialists/Marxist Czars and appointees are taking America directly in the opposite direction the people want to travel. In the past two years we have witnessed a huge growth of government, unprecedented deficit spending, and loss of freedom, and liberty that has brought us too close to USSR style socialism. This trend was aided and abetted by an elite group of career politicians who are totally out of touch with the reality of life of the American people. They have totally discarded our Constitution and the reason why this land divorced itself from a top down style of governing.

How can there be bi-party-ism if compromise is impossible without trashing the Constitution and abandonment of our core values? If self-reliance, liberty, and pursuit of individual happiness is to survive how can we compromise with the Marxist edict of “to each one’s need and each one’s ability”. That means distributing the wealth? That type of a system cannot survive even in a dictatorship, as we have seen with the Soviet Union and the Iron Curtain countries?

Eroding Freedom and Liberty in America

A story goes that a man wanted to start a pig farm but there were no pigs for sale that he could afford to buy. So he decided to start his farm with wild pigs. He cleared a space in the forest where he dumped garbage from local restaurants. He watched the wild pigs slowly approach, run away come back, and slowly begin to eat what he put there and stopped getting food the old fashioned way; finding it in the forest. He did this every day and the pigs kept coming and eating. By the third week they lost all caution and every day they rushed to gorge on the buffet. On the forth week he built a fence behind the bounty of food. The pigs rushed to get their meal but stopped short about ten feet away. They noticed the fence and at first were suspicious but after sniffing the fence began to gorge on the food. Three weeks later he built a similar fence at a 90 degree angle from the first one. At first the pigs were again suspicious but soon paid no attention and began to feast. Again in three more weeks he built another fence, this time at a 90 degree angle on the other side. This time the pigs hardly noticed the latest addition to the fence and began to feast. The next week as the pigs were getting their fill, he snuck up behind them and added the fourth and last part of the fence and the pigs were corralled in a pen. When the pigs looked around they found out that they were trapped. They stopped eating and started to run around looking for a way out. They banged all sides of the fence to no avail. They were trapped. The pigs exhausted themselves trying to escape. For a few days they refused to eat what the farmer fed them but shortly they gave in and gladly ate the meager food he brought them. Eventually they stopped trying to escape and accepted their fate. The prospect of a free meal lured them into slavery.

Nothing is free. You either pay for it in advance or you pay dearly later. By accepting small intrusions on their freedom, the pigs got caught in trap that they could not get out of. One part of the fence didn’t seem so bad to put up with. Then the meal seemed more important than the next and the next part of the fence. Each part protected their food source from other animals until the last part of the fence enslaved them.

Americans do not realize the fences being built around them. We did not see Social Security deductions from our paycheck as a fence. We did not believe that the money was not for our retirement but is being used to fund other spending by the government. We did not see Medicare as a fence being built and the beginning of Socialized Medicine. We got used the ever increasing encroachment of our liberties when we went along with ever increasing smoking restrictions. We believe that the government is looking to protect us when it started to tell us what food to eat and has nothing to do with getting us used to do whatever the government dictates. Some of us accept that we are too stupid to choose for ourselves. Many do not realize that we are being conditioned to accept outrageous inconvenience, humiliation, and pain under the guise of being protected. How is that you ask? Take a few plane trips across the country and you’ll understand. Ever wonder if there is an underlying reason why the government is afraid for you to own a gun? Here is a hint; every totalitarian government has stripped its citizens of a means to protect themselves.

Ever wonder why our administration is supporting the Islamation of America? Islam is trying to replace our Constitution with Sharia Law, a 7th century mentality, totalitarian set of laws that strip the soul of any dignity and reduce people to slaves.

We are being conditioned to accept a big brother government. Don’t give up your freedom and liberty for a few shine beads. They may seem very important to you now but later you will see they are worthless compared to what you gave up.

We Need To Recognize The Real Enemy

A war on terrorism is useless. Who is the enemy when we “fight” terrorism, is it the those who rammed jets into the Twin Towers, the person who shot up Fort Hood, the guy who burnt his privates trying to blow up a plane full of civilians, the guy in Seattle who shot up a Synagogue and then killed a postal worker, the broker who beheaded his wife because she was going to divorce him, or the cab driver who killed his two daughters because they were becoming “Westernized”. Are the children who are brainwashed by their parents to strap bombs to their bodies and then kill civilians in coffee shops, nightclubs, buses, houses of worship, and shopping areas the enemy?

Terrorism is not the enemy. It is one of the tactics used by our enemy. All of those mentioned in the above paragraph are members of the army attacking Western Judeo-Christian values and way of life. They are the soldiers of our enemy. They are not petty criminals shoplifting at the 7/11 or even dope dealers and murders hijacking cars. They are enemy combatants not deserving the protection of our Constitution.

The enemy is waging a three-prong attack on all we hold dear. This war has been going on for over 1,400 years. The enemy found that it is not strong enough to defeat us by outright physical attacks. This enemy has been defeated in this type of warfare repeatedly. They were stopped at the Gates of Vienna. They aligned them selves with the Axis Powers who ended up losing to the Alias. They found that they are very inept at conventional warfare when a tiny nation, surrounded by the armies of four nations, whopped ass on them.

While this tactic was put on hold, our enemy ramped up two others. One such tactic is terror. It has worked for them for the over 1,400 years, they have been waging this war of occupation and submission. In the Arab world, they terrorized whole communities into submission whose leaders abdicated their responsibility to protect their citizens.

In conjunction with terror tactics, they are infiltrating the governments of democratic nations and using their established rule of democracy to destroy them. They are preparing us for the final surge to makes us all submit to them. Right now, our laws are being used to give them more power and put them into a position where our own government will make us all powerless to resist. As they are now doing in many countries in Europe, they will terrorize us into avoiding certain neighborhoods, neighborhoods where the police will not go to protect citizens.

The enemy is mobilizing and building armies capable of mass destruction. The country that started this latest attack on the West is working on missile capability with nuclear warheads. Soon they will be able to reach and destroy the only democratic country in the Middle East. Not only that, but they will have the capability to destroy U.S. military bases in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

Will we allow the socialist Obama administration and congress under the leadership of Pelosi and Reid to disarm ourselves to the point where we are to weak to fight back? We have suffered attacks on our own soil and our government has still not identified the enemy by name.

The enemy is Islam, using armies around the world who use the same instruction manual and perpetrated every single act of terror in the last two plus decades. All believe the same philosophy, with the same goal. The Koran, their ops manual, demands they force the world to submit to Islam or die.

The world has never faced an enemy with such determination. Never was there such a threat to the Western World. This enemy, unlike us, is looking forward to death. Dying in the act of fighting for Islam fulfills their destiny and assures them a grandiose life in heaven. Our goal should be to help them fulfill their aspirations and send them on their way to the afterlife.

At Times There Is No Other Hand

One’s principals as traditions need to be re-examined and re-evaluated now and then. In many if not most, parts of the world it was considered impolite not to welcome a stranger into your home, provide sustenance and rest. A suspicion about new comers and strangers was considered backward thinking. The welcome matt was lying proudly in front of the door. Now it is more prudent to be cautious when a stranger appears at the door.

As people moved from rural areas into cities, it became essential to implement new laws of behavior, regulations affecting individual actions, and community living. Living in a house miles away from neighbors, it made no difference how much debris one had in their front yard. It affected no one but the homeowner. Try to do that in populated housing community now, one would be cited and forced to clean up the area. Such rules became common in our cities and accepted as just. Living in an apartment house, we are required to comply with rules of courtesy such as making noise. We comply to be good neighbors. But at times these rules, imposed by self appointed directors of sensibility, can be carried too far. Quite often, we hear of situations such as people being threatened with eviction for displaying the American flag, displaying political views in yards or windows, and having decals on one’s cars.

The fast held beliefs of yesteryear need to be amended to meet challenges of the present and future. There is little danger to a community if a person living on the prairie shoots a gun into the air. The same cannot be said about doing that in a crowded city. This does not necessitate denying gun ownership, just abiding by sensible rules. In a city where people depend upon each other more, it is not egregious to impose taxes that will pay for streets, public transportation, and other requirements for a well functioning city. Rules of behavior must include acceptance of others as long as they pose no danger to the community. These rules should not impede one’s prerogatives or ability to pursue a livelihood or happiness as long as these do not harm others.

So it is with politics. As the world changes around us some political standards need change. This does not mean abandoning ideals or standards that have served this nation well. Throughout most of the 1800’s, slavery was accepted as normal. That was changed and is now against the law. It was recognized at the beginning of the 20th century that denying women the vote was not right and now women have an equal opportunity to vote as do all lawfull citizens, regardless of race, religion, color, or origin.

All this is good but when some decide to implement laws that change the fabric of what this nation was based on, self reliance, individual freedom, and guaranteed opportunity to succeed, we have to realize that not all change is necessary nor for the general good. It is especially dangerous when people claim to have certain views when their actual inclinations are the opposite. These “fifth column” types infiltrate organizations to attain power in order to implement agendas that are the opposite of the organization. Some in the organization are willing to support them hoping for self advancement within the group. This brings me to the subject of compromising one’s principals. Just as Tevye, from The Fiddler On the Roof, realized that there are times when one can consider “on the other hand”, that at times there is no other hand, we must realize that at times compromise is not an option. That time is here and now. Conservative Republicans must stand for our principals and the United States Constitution. In these times of pending danger to our way of life we must not go along to get along. Just because a candidate states he/she is a true Republican and has the ability to be elected is not a reason for us to support their candidacy. A socialist who claims to be a Republican will push us further into a way of life that will stifle the human soul, stagnate economic growth, and denigrate the past and current sacrifices by many. It is time for us to vet candidates that will promote the aspirations of our founders. We must work with dedication and willingness to sacrifice and elect the right ones. We can not afford to sit on the side lines and hope that others will do the work for us.

Let’s Protect the First Amendment

Some time ago I wrote about a new position at the FCC and how the person appointed to it intends to control what is allowed on the air waves. You can find it at The Latest Re-Distribution of Wealth Scheme on my blog.

That man is Mark Lloyd, chief diversity officer of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). In his book “Prologue to a Farce: Communications and Democracy in America” (University of Illinois Press) published in 2006, Lloyd constantly refers to the socialist Saul Alinsky.

Alinsky (1909-1972) was a community organizer and activist from Chicago and the author of the book, Rules for Radicals, which opens with an acknowledgment "to the very first radical ... Lucifer." As for political tactics, Alinsky said, “The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away. In this book we are concerned with how to create mass organizations to seize power and give it to the people. This means revolution."

Lloyd like his hero Alinsky is for government control of all facets of our lives. “Citizen access to popular information has been undermined by bad political decisions,” Lloyd wrote in his book. “These decisions date back to the Jacksonian Democrats’ refusal to allow the Post Office to continue to operate the telegraph service.” This man is not interested in the unbiased distribution of information. He is a shrewd apparatchik planning to help establish a National Socialist style dictatorship in the US.

Ever since the take over of congress by the left, they have worked to create a socialist dictatorship. The Obama administration has set up a branch of the government that reports directly to the president to control the country. Congress under the leadership of Pelosi and Reid are working to implement laws to cement a form of government totally alien to our Constitution. Controlling the nation’s communications is the most important part of any attempt to control a nation. It allows the government to squelch any and all dissent or opposition to a totalitarian state. That is exactly what our leaders are working on.

The socialists infiltrated just about completely the education system in America. This system created a media that is lock step with the socialist movement. Now they are trying to wipeout the few remnants of independent thought. We are at the crossroads of America’s destiny. Freedom loving Americans must stand together and appose this attack on our liberties. Send emails, letters, faxes, and make phone calls to congress demanding the government keeps its hand off the airwaves.

Purpose of the Tea Parties

This country is in deep decline. We have let others take control of our destiny. Our lives have been too comfortable with so many distractions that we have neglected to plan the future of our country.

We have allowed our children to be misinformed about history, the value of self reliance, and the danger of allowing the government to “take care of things”. We have not paid enough attention to what has been happening. We have failed to vet our candidates properly and elected people who do not take the term “serving the people” to heart. We have failed to keep in touch with our legislators to congratulate them for doing a good job or admonishing them for their failures.

It is time for the American Spirit to soar again. It is time again to get involved and take action. The Tea Parties are rallying the people into action. It is now up to us the ground roots activists to continue the spirit of the original Tea Party which was the beginning of a free nation with liberty under God. The Tea Parties are getting the people together and give us the opportunity to motivate them to vet potential candidates and support those that will stand for freedom of speech, non-intrusive government, and liberty for all. We need to lead them to the phone banks and precinct walks to elect a new brand of candidates, ones who are not there for personal enrichment but are true servants of the people with passion and high principals.

In God We Trust

The reason why “In God We Trust” has been on our currency for many (over 200) years is because this country was founded on Judeo-Christian values, such as the Ten Commandments. These values have been at the crust of all that made this country the strongest, most prosperous, most generous, most fair, and freest country in history. These values have enabled this country to right the wrongs of slavery and women suffrage even as many countries (to this day) deny these rights to so many. We are a country that with these values strongly imbedded in us has fought for these (what we consider) basic rights and freed the world from tyranny several times. Our soldiers have laid down their lives for other countries and never have we used our victory to subjugate those that were vanquished. On the contrary we have helped rebuild them.

Our Constitution guarantees freedom of religion to all. This country never has forced its citizens to worship any particular religion nor did it deny the rights of those that have no faith. That is what separation of church and state means. It guarantees the right of practice to all, including judges, teachers, police, fire fighters, and every other profession. An overwhelming majority of U.S. citizens believe in a god. Those that do not have nothing to fear from those that do. By the same token non-believers do not have the right to deny the right of others to believe and practice their faith nor to silence that expression. Non-believers have no reason to be offended by what is says on our money. It spends the same regardless of one’s beliefs. I can not see any logic in the anger expressed by the faithless.
