Why Did the Presbyterian Church (USA) General Assembly Pray to ALLAH?!

CBN reported that the Presbyterian Church (USA), (PCUSA), prayed to the false god of Islam, Allah, at its General Assembly meeting last week in Portland, Oregon.
Wajidi Said, co-founder of the Muslim Education Trust, led the attendees in the prayer:

“Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path—the path of all prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad.”

Said’s involvement was arranged by the “Ecumenical and Interfaith ministry” staff of the PCUSA assembly.
Following the weeks of the Orlando shooting by an Islamist praised by ISIS, the meeting’s opening session’s “first order of business” was to pray to Allah.
 
In response to the “bigots” and “Islamaphobes,” Said also prayed: “In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful, let us praise the Lord … Peace be upon them and peace be upon Allah.”

CBN reported that after the session ended, Rev. Gradye Parsons apologized to “anyone who was offended by the prayer.” Rev. Parsons told CBN: “It was never the intention to offend anyone, and we offer an apology to those who were offended.”

Regardless, the PCUSA still maintains its position to support “positive relationships with people of other religious traditions” and is committed to fighting “the rise in Islamophobia.”

Perhaps its leaders should read the Bible.
However, the Institute for Religious Research makes it easier. It lists 28 passages in the Bible that “clearly declare this cardinal truth” that “there is one — and only one — true and living God.”

The Institute uses the Kings James Version below with the following distinctions of the Hebrew names attributed to the God of the Bible:

• Jehovah (or Yahweh) is “LORD” in all caps;
• Adonai (“Lord” or “Master”) is “Lord”;
• Elohim is translated as “God.”
• In Deut. 4:35, “the LORD he is God,” is literally translated as “Jehovah, he is Elohim.” In these instances, “Adonai is used as a compound with Jehovah, the latter term is spelled GOD, so that the compound name “Lord GOD” designates the Hebrew, “Adonai Jehovah”,” the Institute explains.

No Christian can pray to Allah. There is no such god. Christians believe the only God is the Triune God: father, son, holy spirit.
