When Obama Saw These Veterans Were Dying, His Response Shocked The Nation

 President Obama recently visited Phoenix to speak at Central High School- only blocks away from the Phoenix VA hospital that ignited the veterans healthcare scandal last year. Even though the school AND Obama’s hotel were just minutes from the epicenter, the President neglected to visit the VA Hospital to witness the problems firsthand. His motorcade even drove by the hospital without stopping- and he even made time for the gym. Veterans had been urging Obama to visit the troubled hospital and are outraged by his neglect. 

 

he Phoenix Va Hospital made headlines last year when misconduct such as long waits, insufficient care, preventable deaths, under staffing, over-prescription of narcotics, and more were reported. 

   

We would think if he was serious about VA reform that he would come down to the Phoenix VA, see what the problems are,” Matthew Kenney of Concerned Veterans for America said. “See them firsthand and come up with solutions on how to fix it.”
